TRAFFIC ALERT: Caltrans has announced changes in dates for the closure of the U.S. Highway 101 Southbound off ramp at Castillo, a major roadway into Main Campus. The closure will now take place beginning August 31, 2015, one week after the start of SBCC’s fall semester. The southbound on ramp at Castillo will reopen on the same date.

Let’s Reduce SBCC’s Total Single Occupied Vehicle (SOV) Commute by 25% by 2017!

In efforts to reduce parking congestion on campus and implement the college’s Transportation Demand Management Plan (TDMP) Santa Barbara City College has developed a website to help inform the campus of sustainable transportation options for commuting to and from the campus. SBCC has implemented a sustainable transportation incentive program beginning January 2015.

Program Goals

  • Healthier community, cleaner planet
  • Identify best practices and deficiencies in sustainable transportation at SBCC
